ILS-H13 3D Laser Profile Scanner
H13
Long-distance 3D Profile Scanning System—The “3D Insight” for Automated Loading and Unloading of Large Bulk Materials
H13 is a high-performance 3D laser scanning system specifically designed for large-scale bulk material handling applications. It integrates a long-range measurement LiDAR (ILS-F13) with a high-torque servo gimbal, offering an ultra-wide 3D field of view of 180° (horizontal) × 160° (vertical) and a measurement range of up to 80 meters.
For high-dust environments such as sand and gravel aggregates, domestic waste, and grain storage, the H13 employs enhanced multi-echo technology that can penetrate dust clouds and water mist to generate clear 3D point clouds. Not only can it calculate material volumes, but it also provides precise 3D guidance and positioning for heavy-duty equipment like automatic loading machines and garbage grab buckets, enabling an automated upgrade from “blindly feeling the elephant” to “precise operations.”

Overview
Guide automated loading and unloading to enhance operational efficiency.
The H13 is not just a measuring instrument—it’s the “eyes” of automated equipment. At gravel pits, it can identify the position of truck beds and guide chutes to deliver materials with pinpoint accuracy. At waste-to-energy plants, it can direct grab buckets to automatically feed materials into the furnace. By leveraging 3D guidance, it enables unmanned operations, significantly boosting loading and unloading efficiency and safety.
80-meter ultra-long-range measurement, covering an extremely large scene.
When confronted with massive grain silos, deep garbage pits, or open-air stockpiles, conventional radars often find themselves “unable to reach.” The H13 offers up to 80m With a detection range of 10% reflectivity, a single device can cover an operational area of several thousand square meters, reducing the number of devices required for installation.
Penetrates high dust and water mist, with data remaining consistently reliable.
Optimized specifically for high-dust environments, the H13 employs an enhanced laser emission and multi-echo algorithm that can effectively penetrate dense dust clouds generated during material discharge and water mist produced by waste fermentation, ensuring that even under the harshest operating conditions, it can still acquire accurate surface data of the material.

Giving Heavy Machinery “Smart Vision”: Automation Applications for H13

H13 is a key sensing unit for the upgrade of heavy industry automation. In Cement and Aggregate Industry It scans empty carriages and uses the guidance system to automatically control the amount of material discharged and the positioning of the material spread, thereby preventing overflow and uneven loading. In... Waste-to-energy plant It generates 3D topographic maps of the waste bin in real time, assisting fully automated waste cranes to perform intelligent stacking, unstacking, and feeding operations, thereby enhancing combustion efficiency. With precise data, H13 is driving the intelligent transformation of traditional industries.
Specifically designed for automated loading and unloading as well as large-scale scene measurement.

Precisely locate the carriages to enable unmanned loading.
The core pain points of automated loading systems lie in: Where should the truck be parked? What’s the size of the cargo compartment? And how much more can it hold? H13 perfectly addresses these issues.
The H13, installed above the loading platform, can complete scanning within seconds after the vehicle has come to a stable stop, accurately identifying the length, width, and height of the vehicle’s cargo compartment, as well as the height of the floor and the positions of internal reinforcing ribs. Based on this data, the system calculates the optimal material-dispensing points and loading quantities, then guides the chute or telescopic arm to distribute the material evenly, preventing spillage or overloading—all without any manual intervention throughout the entire process.

Large-scale scene modeling, with inventory clearly visible at a glance.
For ultra-large spaces such as garbage bins, grain silos, or open-air coal yards, traditional single-point radars require the deployment of multiple units joined together, resulting in high costs and difficult maintenance.
With an effective measurement radius of 80 meters, the H13 can cover the entire operational area using only a minimal number of devices. It generates high-precision 3D topographical maps of material surfaces in real time and calculates both sectional volumes and total inventory levels. For waste-handling cranes, it can also identify “material pits” and “material peaks,” guiding the grab to prioritize picking up materials from higher elevations and optimizing the composting process.

Specializing in high-dust environments—no fear of “seeing flowers through the fog.”
When sand and gravel are unloaded and waste is fermented, the air is often filled with high concentrations of dust or vapors. Ordinary radars can easily mistake these suspended particles for obstacles, leading to data invalidation.
The H13 employs an optimized laser power and multi-echo filtering algorithm. It can penetrate the thin dust clouds at the front end and precisely capture the true material surface at the back end. In similarly harsh environments, the H13’s data accuracy and stability far exceed those of conventional industrial radars, ensuring uninterrupted production.

Integrated packaging makes installation and maintenance more hassle-free.
The H13 features an all-aluminum alloy integrated package that incorporates radar, a gimbal, power management, and a heating module. Its **IP67** rating allows it to be directly rinsed and cleaned.
The system supports Ethernet data transmission, enabling data communication with just a single network cable. The accompanying SDK supports both Windows and Linux platforms and provides core algorithm libraries for volume calculation, coordinate transformation, and other essential functions, helping integrators rapidly develop host-computer software and significantly shortening project delivery cycles.
