For AGVs and AMRs that employ laser SLAM navigation technology, the key to design lies in how to simultaneously address two core challenges—“Where am I?” and “What’s ahead?”—within the constraints of limited vehicle space and a tight cost budget. Deploying separate navigation radar and obstacle-avoidance radar not only increases hardware costs but also consumes valuable installation space and complicates system integration. The market urgently calls for a “multi-purpose” sensor solution that can both provide high-precision environmental contour data for mapping and localization and independently deliver reliable safety protection.

 

Application Logic: A YINTAILI ILS-F30 navigation and obstacle-avoidance laser radar is deployed at the bottom, right in front of the AGV’s body. This radar serves as the AGV’s “all-round perception hub”:
① Navigation Layer: It outputs high-precision point cloud measurement data in real time via Ethernet to the AGV’s navigation controller. By matching this data with the map, it achieves centimeter-level SLAM-based localization and path planning.
② Obstacle-avoidance layer: At the same time, leveraging its internally integrated protection algorithm, this layer independently monitors the area ahead for safety (as shown by the graded red zones in the figure). Once an obstacle is detected, it directly outputs an IO signal to control the AGV to slow down or stop, without consuming any computing power from the navigation controller.

 

Technological Advantages: The F30 perfectly achieves sensor reuse for “navigation plus obstacle avoidance.” With a high angular resolution of 0.25° and a scanning frequency of 15 Hz, it can precisely map the contours of the environment, ensuring accurate and stable navigation and positioning. At the same time, it boasts an ultra-long detection range of 50 meters, providing AGVs with ample lead time even when traveling at high speeds. This integrated solution significantly reduces customers’ hardware procurement costs and integration complexity, making it the ideal choice for high-performance laser-guided AGVs.
