Intelligent Intrusion Prevention System for Platform End Zones
The ends of platform platforms connect to the train operating sections and are high-risk areas where passengers are strictly prohibited from entering. However, some passengers, due to a lack of safety awareness or because they are talking on their phones, often inadvertently step over the safety yellow line or even enter the restricted zone at the platform ends. This not only puts them at significant personal safety risks but can also force trains to stop abruptly, severely disrupting railway transportation order. Traditional methods of physical barriers or manual intervention suffer from issues such as large coverage blind spots, delayed response times, and high labor costs, making it difficult to achieve effective, round-the-clock monitoring and control.
Application Logic: Deploy YINTAILI Technology’s F13 LiDAR detection system at key locations at the platform ends. The radar emits high-frequency laser beams to establish an invisible “virtual electronic fence” within the no-entry zone at the platform ends. The system employs a unique “horizontal and vertical bidirectional scanning” strategy, enabling it not only to detect whether anyone has crossed the yellow line but also to monitor whether any objects have intruded into the track area. Once the system detects a human body or foreign object entering the designated no-entry zone, it will trigger a coordinated alarm within milliseconds. The on-site public address system will automatically play a voice warning, urging passengers to leave immediately. At the same time, the alarm information will be pushed in real time to the station’s integrated control room, alerting staff to take prompt action.
Technological Advantages: The core of this solution employs an F13 LiDAR sensor, featuring a wide 270° field of view and an ultra-long detection range of up to 100 meters. A single device can cover the entire wide area at the platform’s end without any blind spots or dead angles. Compared to video analytics technology, LiDAR is unaffected by changes in lighting conditions—such as bright sunlight, shadows, or nighttime—and boasts exceptional anti-interference capabilities. It can effectively filter out false alarms caused by flying insects, fallen leaves, and other irrelevant factors. The system responds at speeds as fast as milliseconds, enabling “instant detection and reporting” and promptly addressing potential safety hazards at their earliest stages, thereby significantly enhancing the efficiency of station safety management.
