Railway Crossing Hazard Area Availability Notice

Railway level crossings are high-risk areas for off-track safety incidents, where dangerous situations such as pedestrians and vehicles rushing across the tracks and vehicle breakdowns causing delays occur frequently. The traditional “guard + barrier mechanism” model struggles to completely prevent unauthorized intrusions. Meanwhile, video-based monitoring systems are highly susceptible to interference from strong sunlight, nighttime conditions, and rain or fog, leaving blind spots and introducing delays in detection. Once an object encroaches onto the track, if the system fails to accurately detect it and issue an alarm within seconds, high-speed trains often won't have enough time to brake, greatly increasing the risk of serious accidents.

Application Logic: F20 safety-grade laser scanning sensors from YINTAILI have been deployed on both sides of the level crossing. The radar performs high-frequency, full-coverage scans of the crossing surface and clearance zones, creating an invisible “electronic protective net.” Once the train approaches and the alarm is triggered, and the barrier gates are lowered, the system automatically enters protective mode. If the radar detects any lingering personnel, vehicles, or foreign objects within the area, it will immediately trigger an alarm signal within milliseconds, activating on-site public address systems to issue voice warnings and promptly transmit the hazardous situation to the station or locomotive signaling system, thereby buying precious time for the train to initiate emergency braking.

Technological Advantages: This solution is specially designed for the harsh, outdoor environments encountered by railways. The F20 boasts exceptional light resistance of 80,000 Lux and features a pioneering multi-level echo-processing technology, enabling it to operate reliably around the clock without being affected by direct sunlight, dust, or rain and snow. With a response time measured in milliseconds and a resolution down to the centimeter level, it can swiftly detect and pinpoint even the tiniest targets. In particular, it has successfully passed the rigorous GB/T 2423 seismic resistance test, ensuring zero false alarms even under intense vibrations generated when trains pass at high speeds—thus establishing an impenetrable safety barrier at railway crossings.
