ILS-T61 3D Stereoscopic Protective LiDAR

3D Stereoscopic Protection LiDAR—Building an Invisible, Three-Dimensional Security Barrier

The T61 is a 3D Time-of-Flight LiDAR designed specifically for industrial safety protection. It breaks through the limitation of traditional 2D safety light curtains, which can only protect a single plane, and is capable of providing comprehensive, real-time monitoring of a three-dimensional conical space measuring 72° × 55°.
Even in complex lighting conditions or with irregular machine motion trajectories, the T61 can accurately detect the intrusion of human limbs or foreign objects and trigger an alarm or shutdown signal within milliseconds. It supports customizable polyhedral protection zones, perfectly adapting to scenarios such as robotic arm workstations, injection molding machine clamping areas, and AGV travel corridors, thereby providing more comprehensive and flexible three-dimensional safety protection for human-robot collaboration.

Three-dimensional stereoscopic safety protection for robotic arm workstations

In modern factories where human-robot collaboration is becoming increasingly close, traditional two-dimensional safety protection measures—such as safety light curtains, safety mats, or 2D LiDAR—can no longer adequately meet the demands of complex three-dimensional safety protection. When robotic arms perform tasks like palletizing or assembly, their motion trajectories are three-dimensional, posing not only horizontal collision risks but also irregular danger zones from above or the sides. Operators may inadvertently extend their limbs into the robotic arm’s operational envelope, or workpieces might accidentally fall—both scenarios that conventional planar sensors often “overlook,” leaving significant safety blind spots.

3D stereoscopic protection for the injection molding machine’s clamping area and part-taking station.

In injection molding production, operators often need to perform spot checks or auxiliary tasks at conveyor belt locations near the mold-closing area. Although the equipment is equipped with safety guards, personnel still face risks of being squeezed by the high-pressure mold-closing mechanism or struck by robotic arms when opening doors to retrieve parts, adjusting or repairing molds, or addressing robotic arm malfunctions. Traditional 2D light curtains can only establish a “line” of protection on the exterior; once a person steps over the light curtain and enters the equipment’s blind zone, the protective barrier immediately becomes ineffective, posing significant safety hazards.

Collaborative Operations in 3D Warehousing: 3D Safe Interconnection Between AGVs and Overhead Cranes

In modern smart factories, the operational areas of ground logistics (AGVs/AMRs) and aerial logistics (cranes and gantry robots) often overlap significantly. When a crane is lowering a suspended load, if an AGV suddenly enters the area below, a severe “Mount Tai crushing” collision accident can easily occur. Meanwhile, conventional AGVs are equipped only with 2D radar, which can only scan the ground surface and completely “fail to see” objects that are hovering mid-air or lifting devices that are in the process of descending—posing a critical vertical blind-spot hazard.
