Pre-Interception of “Three Excesses” Vehicles at Highway Entrances
In response to the highway regulatory requirement of "mandatory inspection for trucks and prohibition of overloaded vehicles," the F1X series LiDAR is primarily used for early detection and proactive guidance before toll station entrances, addressing the pain points of traditional overloading control at entry points—namely, "only able to measure weight but difficult to measure dimensions" and "on-site interception easily causing congestion."
Application Logic: Place F1X-series LiDAR sensors at the ramp merge point just before the highway entrance plaza (200–500 meters from the toll booth) to simultaneously capture the 3D profiles (length, width, and height) of vehicles. If a vehicle exceeds the standard dimensions—18.1 meters in length, 2.55 meters in width, and 4 meters in height (for trucks)—or its weight limit, the system will immediately trigger an alert: displaying on the information board, “Your vehicle exceeds the size limits; please turn around.” At the same time, the vehicle’s information will be transmitted to the monitoring center and on-site enforcement terminals. Enforcement officers can then proactively guide the vehicle to a designated area for handling, thereby preventing oversized or overweight vehicles from entering the toll lanes and causing congestion or safety incidents.
Technological Advantages: Compared to the traditional “multi-line LiDAR + coil” solution, a single high-resolution F1X-series LiDAR can cover multiple lanes, reducing equipment deployment density by 60%. Moreover, there’s no need to disturb the ground for installing coils, cutting post-installation maintenance costs by 40%. At the same time, this system supports free-flow detection, allowing vehicles to pass through without slowing down and boosting traffic efficiency by more than 30%.
