The E30-2 features a unique lateral LiDAR sensor specifically designed to scan tire characteristics. It can precisely distinguish between single tires, dual tires, and “false floating axles,” providing the most critical axle-type information for weight-based tolling and effectively curbing fraudulent practices involving hydraulic ramps or suspended axles.

Reserved video interface for flexible upgrades

The system features a standard video installation slot and data interface at the top. Depending on your project budget, you can choose not to install these components for now, or you can add a high-definition snapshot camera to upgrade to a cost-effective “laser + video” fused vehicle recognition system, thereby safeguarding your initial investment.

Side-mounted design, zero damage during construction.

Adopting an integrated, side-mounted column installation method, it is installed on the safety island. This orthogonal scanning architecture ensures that even under extremely close vehicle following distances (<20 cm) or in situations where vehicles are side by side and interfering with each other, the system can still maintain exceptionally high separation rates and axis identification accuracy.

How can we distinguish between single tires and dual tires? The core algorithm of E30-2 analyzes the point cloud features on the tire surface. The distinctive indentation between dual tires and the depth of the wheel hub are both keenly detected by the system.

Combined with big data models, the system can accurately identify axle configurations for freight vehicles in categories 1 through 6—and even recognize lifting axles that are in a “suspended” state—thus preventing underreporting of weight and missed charges.

On-demand upgrades—choose what works best for you.

The E30-2 fully takes into account the diverse needs of customers. If you only require weight measurement data, the standard pure laser version will suffice.

If in the future you need to capture license plates or perform more detailed vehicle classification (such as separating passenger and cargo vehicles), simply add a camera module to the reserved slot—no need to replace the entire device—and you can seamlessly upgrade to the “LaserVision All-in-One” system, maximizing the protection of your asset value.
