YINTAILI Technology has delivered laser vehicle recognition devices required for the newly added weigh-in-motion lanes at the Taqian and Gaomadou toll stations on Henan’s expressway, injecting new technological power into the weight enforcement efforts at highway entrances. This delivery includes YINTAILI Technology’s flagship product—the ILS-EVP30 integrated laser-and-camera vehicle recognition device.
YINTAILI Technology has delivered laser vehicle type identifiers required for the newly added weigh-in-motion lanes at the Taqian and Gaomadou toll stations on the Henan Expressway, injecting new technological power into the weight enforcement work at highway entrances.
This delivery includes YINTAILI Technology’s star product—the ILS-EVP30 laser-and-vision integrated vehicle recognizer, which can operate stably in harsh conditions such as rain, snow, fog, ice, and frost, boasts a high recognition rate, and features a cool design.
The EVP30 integrates automatic hand-pattern recognition, image and video capture, high-precision drive axle detection, and vehicle model identification into a single system. It features a drive axle recognition algorithm and vehicle model classification technology that are both independently developed and patented. The system delivers three-dimensional scanning and real-time automated detection, with vehicle separation rates, axle-count recognition accuracy, and axle-type recognition accuracy all exceeding 99.5%!
The ILS-EVP30 integrated vehicle recognition system consists of three major camera modules—front, rear, and body—along with an intelligent fill-light module, two LiDAR sensors (one horizontal and one vertical), and an algorithm control module. It can automatically and highly accurately acquire vehicle feature information and output the following data: front license plate number, rear license plate number, vehicle type, front-view photo, rear-view photo, side-view image (stitched panorama), 5-second video, and axle configuration (driving axle).
The vehicle model recognition device can be installed on just one side of the toll booth and is ready for use immediately. It boasts high detection efficiency—once a vehicle passes through the detection zone normally, the results are generated right away. This system can be used for real-time detection as well as for post-event audits. Moreover, the system is easy to upgrade and can adapt to new vehicle models that may emerge in the future without requiring any hardware modifications or upgrades.
Looking ahead, with the widespread adoption of smart traffic devices such as laser-based vehicle identification systems, toll enforcement at highway entrances will achieve more efficient and precise management. This will not only enhance highway throughput and reduce the incidence of traffic accidents but also strongly promote the transformation and upgrading of the entire transportation industry.
