On a sunny spring day, the zoo was brimming with life and energy. It was planting season, and the zoo’s staff members, together with the animals, were busily getting to work, sowing seeds of hope for the plants and gardens within the zoo.

One day, the zoo director called a meeting of all the animals. He proposed that the animals be involved in the planting process—this would not only beautify the zoo’s environment but also help the animals better understand the plant growth cycle. Upon hearing this proposal, the animals jumped up with excitement.

Giraffe Lili, elephant Arnold, monkey Taotao, and little rabbit Youyou have formed the Sowing Squad. With her long neck, Lili easily reaches high branches and carefully places seeds precisely in the forks of the trees. Arnold, with his strong trunk, digs deep holes, preparing warm homes for the seeds. Meanwhile, Taotao and Youyou are busy collecting all kinds of seeds, darting through the bushes in search of the best spots to sow them.

During the sowing process, the animals encountered many difficulties. Lili discovered that not all seeds were suitable for placing on branches; Arnold also realized that the depth of the pits had to be just right—otherwise, the seeds wouldn't be able to grow. But they didn't give up; instead, they encouraged each other and worked together to overcome one challenge after another.

Finally, thanks to everyone’s joint efforts, the garden at the zoo has become increasingly beautiful. The seeds have sprouted, grown, and blossomed into vibrant, colorful flowers, attracting more and more visitors to come and admire them. The animals themselves feel proud of their contributions; they’ve learned to cherish nature and have grown even more fond of their wonderful home.

The season for sowing has passed, yet the joy and warmth of the zoo will forever remain in the hearts of every animal and every visitor. They look forward to the next sowing season, eagerly anticipating even more lives thriving and flourishing on this land.
