The 24th China Highway Informatization Conference and Technology Products Expo, held from July 27 to 28, 2022 at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center, came to a successful close. This year’s conference featured the theme of “Digitalization, Networking, and Smartization,” delving deeply into innovative developments in highway informatization planning, design, construction, management, and services. It also showcased the latest achievements in the research, development, and application of China’s highway informatization technologies and products, earning widespread attention, recognition, and positive feedback from participants and visitors from all sectors.

The total exhibition area of this expo has reached over 40,000 square meters, with more than 100 exhibitors participating. Well-known companies such as Huawei, Tencent, Baidu, and Alibaba Cloud are among those invited to take part. Clearly, over the course of its 24 consecutive years, the China Highway Informatization Conference has gradually evolved into the largest, most influential, and most valuable event in China’s highway and smart transportation sectors.

From the initial focus on the three major electromechanical systems of highways to this year’s comprehensive demonstration of integrated smart transportation systems—embracing 5G, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and big data—the conference clearly illustrates the dramatic transformation that has taken place in highway informatization.
